resolving double bookings

It sounds like the information in your local freetime database may be incorrect.

I'd first recommend rebuilding that database.
If the problem persists, verify if the problem can be reproduced from a Notes 8 or 8.5 client. If not, I'd recommend upgrading the Notes client.
